How to use
1. Prepare the nails: Clean the hands/feet and remove any nail product. Soften the cuticle area using your normal professional cuticle-preparation method.
2. Push back the cuticle: Gently push the softened cuticle back with an appropriate cuticle pusher. This helps expose only the excess tissue that needs trimming.
3. Identify dead/excess skin: Examine the nail perimeter carefully. Do not attempt to cut healthy, attached skin.
4. Hold the nipper correctly: Place your fingers comfortably around the handles and keep your grip controlled. Avoid squeezing unnecessarily hard.
5. Position the jaws: Place the sharp cutting jaws directly beside the loose excess cuticle or dead skin you want to remove. Keep the blades parallel to the skin rather than digging downward.
6. Make small cuts: Gently squeeze the handles to make short, precise cuts. Work gradually instead of attempting to remove a large section at once.
7. Follow the cuticle line: Move around the nail carefully, maintaining a consistent angle. Do not pull or tear the skin with the nipper.
8. Avoid over-cutting: Stop once the loose/dead tissue has been removed and the area looks clean. Cutting too deeply can cause bleeding, irritation and damage to the protective cuticle area.
9. Inspect the result: Check around the entire nail for remaining loose skin. If necessary, make another very small controlled cut rather than repeatedly cutting the same area.
10. Clean and disinfect: After use, remove visible residue and process the tool according to your professional cleaning, disinfection and sterilization procedure before storing or using it on another client.
